The Pitch

Flyhomes AI is the world’s first AI-powered home search.

The Experience

Getting Started With Flyhomes AI

Signing up with Flyhomes AI is free and straightforward. The process will be familiar to anyone who has used home-search platforms like Zillow or Street Easy.

I recreated my recent steps of searching for a home (a whole other story). So, I started by inputting my desired home price range, location, and amenities—the usual stuff. That all was pretty easy.

The AI features became more apparent when I dove into a home listing. Viewing the listing, you can chat with the AI assistant to learn more about the home. They give you some pre-baked questions based on the data they have of the house. The chat is still in beta, so this was a hit-and-miss for me as it could not answer nuanced questions like the average HOA fees for co-op units in the area. Questions around info that you may Google, like "What are the average median prices?" or "What's the crime rate?" returned better results.

The AI feature that stood out to me was the ability to "reimagine" the room of a home you view in the photo gallery. You can choose a decor style in the gallery using prompts or pre-baked selections, and the AI gives the room a makeover based on those prompts. This feature helps to visualize how you'd like to change up a room and may even push you to purchase the home!

Another welcomed feature of the gallery was "lookalikes." With it, you can find homes with similar rooms and setups to the current gallery of images you're looking at. Outside of these features, everything else felt similar to offerings on competing home searching platforms.

The Verdict

Why Should You Care

Flyhomes AI finds itself in an interesting place. With fierce competition from Zillow, Street Easy, Trulia, and the like, its claim of being the first AI-driven platform has to shine and stand out. My hands-on didn't wow me over what the competition offers, as the current state of AI integration feels like a “nice-to-have.”

Other notable features include viewing a neighborhood drive-through through a car dash camera. Still, it's limited to more than a handful of locations, New York not being one of them.

Flyhomes AI can potentially disrupt, but I bet the competition is working on similar features. Try the site if you want to buy or put your feelers out for a home. You can't go wrong when it's free!
