The Pitch

Generate insights and knowledge graphs using AI with InfraNodus.

The Experience

Getting Started With InfraNodus

Once you've completed the signup, you land on a straightforward dashboard with three main options. "Brainstorm an Idea," "Analyze Text Content," and "Study a Market" are your main areas to begin your data analysis. For my initial test run, I wanted to study the conversation around the recent Paris 2024 Olympics, specifically the breakdancing competition's debut and the drama around some of its poor breakdance performers.

I'm no data scientist or researcher, so I'm looking at Infranodus as a newbie to this type of stuff. That said, after choosing YouTube as my source to analyze, the screen transitions to a visual graph of the various keywords from the discourse related to my initial topic of breakdancing. Here, the information on the user interface is scary and can take a little time to adjust. It's far too cluttered.

With the graph on full display, the AI works its magic by identifying gaps in the various connections surrounding your topics. It proposes a discussion point and question based on that. For example, here's the initial question it proposes I explore: How can the dynamic narratives of breakdancing's Olympic debut at Paris 2024, discussed through podcasts and social media platforms like YouTube and Spotify, influence funding and support for dancers, particularly women in countries with budding dancesport scenes like Australia?

With the breakdancing talent on display from Australia and the likes of B-girl Racheal "Raygun", it seems to be budding for sure in the land down under.

InfraNodus uses Chat GPT 3 and 4 to compose questions and topics for discussion. But there are other outputs, as you can challenge, assert, or ideate around those questions. Ideate offered up some interesting solutions as well. For example, it suggested to "Create a podcast series featuring stories of breakdancers preparing for the Olympics, with a focus on women from emerging scenes. Use platforms like YouTube and Spotify to share their journey, integrating crowdfunding links directly in content to drive support and funding." This suggestion isn't groundbreaking but can help get the creative juices flowing.

The Verdict

Why Should You Care

I could send two or three more write ups on InfraNodus that go into more detail, but I aim to keep things short. This app can be solid for identifying gaps and creating new discussion points or ideas where there are none, especially if you're doing research work. I sat on this tool for an entire day and went off in many directions for things around breakdancing and the Olympics. If I were in college, I'd use this to jump-start any thesis-like work. That said, the user interface is scary and too cluttered. This can be a huge barrier for anyone wanting to try this thing. What the app does and its outputs are valuable, but an unintuitive interface holds it back.
