RemoveBG is a web-based app that instantly removes backgrounds from any image you upload.
Signing up to RemoveBg is easy. After uploading an image, I found it did a good job removing the background by literally painting it away. Its AI can recognize people and objects that are the focus of the image. Removing a background does not destroy the image, making it easy to fine-tune and restore it to its original state. Once your background is removed, you can replace it with any image from its stock library.
The interface could use some love. It’s confined to a small pop-up window, making it hard to zoom around your image. Your cut-out image also tends to have fuzzy and blurry edges. While this is annoying, it doesn’t negatively impact the overall experience.
RemoveBg is very promising, and the initial results are pretty satisfying. Outside of my minor gripes, this is a better, more straightforward AI tool that does its one job well.
